Bramble Support

Bramble helps you capture a short daily video of your child answering one playful question — so you have better conversations, and a sweet clip to keep.

Common questions

How do I record?

Open Bramble, read the day’s question out loud, and tap the red button to start. Tap it again (or let it auto-stop) when you’re done. Bramble turns it into a short, captioned clip.

What is “Cloud auto-editing,” and do I have to use it?

To caption your clip and offer gentle follow-ups during recording, Bramble can send the audio to AssemblyAI (to transcribe it) and the transcript to Anthropic (to edit and suggest follow-ups). You’re asked before the first time you record. The auto-edited clip is the whole point, so if you tap “Not now” Bramble simply doesn’t start that recording — there’s no in-the-moment “record without the AI.” If you’d rather keep everything on your device, turn off Settings → Privacy → Cloud auto-editing: recordings then stay local, without the AI extras, and you can switch it back on any time.

Where are my videos stored?

On your device. They are not stored on our servers — we don’t have any. If you turn on Save to Photos, finished clips are also copied into your own Apple Photos library.

How do I delete a clip, a memory, or everything?

Delete a single clip or memory from inside the app. To remove everything for a child, go to Settings → Delete all of [child]’s data. Deleting the app deletes everything.

The camera/microphone isn’t working.

Bramble needs camera and microphone permission to record. Check iOS Settings → Bramble and make sure Camera and Microphone are enabled.

Recording works but there are no captions or follow-ups?

Captions and follow-ups require Cloud auto-editing to be on (see above) and a working internet connection.
